I’m a management trainee on the Lloyds Banking Group Finance Graduate scheme. This involves rotating between 4 different placements over 3 years. Working for such a large company, I find this approach gives me an opportunity to experience different divisions and business units, and have a greater understanding of how the group operates. On top of this I am also being supported to study for my ACA qualification, although the option is also available to study towards CIMA.

Like most online graduate scheme applications, it involved filling in personal details, educational history, open ended competency questions, before moving on to online tests, then telephone interview and finally an assessment centre.

The only advice I would have is to practice! I had several attempts in applying for internships throughout university, and you soon learn how to approach the questions and what they’re really looking for.
