Top tips for surviving Mondays

Of all the days I hate most, Monday is my favourite.

  • Student swamped under paperworkBe fantastic – instead of winging by the water cooler stand walk and talk like its a Friday! It will lift your own spirits and everybody else’s
  • Listen to a piece of music on your way to work that makes you want to dance!
  • Put some money in a charity box or do a favour for somebody that needs it, It will cheer you up to know you’ve done something good
  • Plan something fun for every weekend – it will make your weekend feel longer and your weeks feel shorter
  • Clear your desk and do tasks you hate most on Fridays. Then make a list of what you need to do on Monday. You’ll sleep better on Sunday night knowing your Monday is organised
  • If you have a partner, wake up a bit early and have a fumble! If you dont have a partner sleep in as long as you can
  • Treat Monday like its your first day at work, remember how eager to please and lovely you were to everybody?!
  • Do some exercise – if you love the gym go before work and if you dont then get off a stop early and walk and don’t use the lift this will releases endorphins to make you feel good
  • Make Monday a takeaway night.  No shopping or work when you get home!

If you still don’t want to go to work on Tuesday start looking for a new job!
